This is a adrenalin packed rafting trip that is great for the first timer or an experienced river rat! The two largest runnable rapids on the Rogue River are lurking on this section of river. Nugget Falls and Power House  Rapids both hold a class IV rating based on the standard whitewater rating system. The beauty of this stretch of water is that you get to start out with smaller class I and II rapids and gradually work your way up to a exciting class three rapid. About mid-way through the trip you will start to feel confident in your crew and in your own whitewater skills, at this point you will get an opportunity to challenge them on the first class IV rapid "Nugget Falls". After your first big rapid you will be rewarded with a calming drift down a mellow section of the river. This will give you just enough time to enjoy a refreshing drink and a quick snack. The trip finishes with an exciting finally at Powerhouse rapid, one of the most breath taking spots on the whole river.  This section of the river offers many wildlife viewing opportunities from waterfowl, osprey, eagles, beavers, otters, black tail deer, salmon, turtles, and many more. The trip is suitable for children 8 years or older. There is an opportunity for any of our guests to walk around the two class IV rapids. This trip starts with a 8 mile stretch of exciting whitewater followed by a delicious deli style lunch on the rivers edge. You then continue down river another 6 miles. The second half of the trip you will have the option of staying in the raft with your guide or challenging the river in your own inflatable kayak. If you would like to captain your own kayak there will be a demonstration and instruction course during lunch. The second half of the day is class 1 and 2 rapids that are fun but suitable for beginner kayakers.
