Reservation and Cancellation Policy Updates

If you are currently booked on a multi-day trip with us in 2020 and wish to cancel, you will receive a trip credit to be used in 2021. You need to let us know at least 30 days prior to your trip date (when final payment is due), so that we have an opportunity to sell our 2020 dates. Once your final payment has been made or we fall within 30 days, no refunds or credits will be made in the event of cancellation. If travel restrictions are put in place due to the coronavirus that does not allow you to get to your trip with us, you will receive trip credit to be used before October 1, 2021.

If I cancel before 30 days and cannot join a 2021 trip, have I lost my deposit?
Trip credits may be used for any of our trips in 2020 and any of our trips in 2021. Trip credits are transferable to another individual. Additionally, we are happy to convert trip credits into Gift Certificates. We are not able to refund trip deposits. Therefore, if you are not able to use your trip credit in 2020 or 2021, if you do not transfer it to another individual, and if you do not convert it into a gift certificate to regift, then you will lose your deposit.

If I cancel before 30 days, does the credit from Rogue Rafting Co. cover the entire cost of a Rogue trip in 2021?
The credit will be equal to any amounts paid to Rogue Rafting Co, including your deposit. We are committed to honoring our 2020 pricing  for any of our guests who choose this option.

You mentioned the policy if travel restrictions are put in place that prevent someone from joining the trip.  How about if there are medical reasons that would prevent someone from joining the trip?  For example, what if someone has an immune deficiency that normally allows activities like the Rogue trip but that makes it hazardous to be on a trip with the added risk of COVID?
Yes, we appreciate that perspective and would offer a trip credit just as we would a travel restriction as outlined in our statement. We would really appreciate as much notice as possible so that we have an opportunity to attempt to resell our 2020 trip spaces. 


In order to protect yourself from unexpected changes in your schedule, we recommend you purchase trip cancellation insurance soon after reserving your trip. Said insurance is generally quite affordable and provides inexpensive peace of mind.

Reservation/Cancellation/Refund Policy

Rafting Reservations
Reservations are strongly encouraged for all trips. While we frequently do have space available on existing half-day and full-day trips allowing for last minute additions, the only way to ensure your seat on a trip and day of your choosing is by reservation. Reservations are easy to make here on-line or give us a call if you would like.

A 50 % deposit is required at the time reservations are made. Visa, MasterCard and American Express cards are welcome. The balance of fare is due for day trips when you arrive for your adventure, either by cash, check or we will charge the balance to your credit card. Balance due for multi-day trips is due 30 days prior to trip departure.

Our prices include everything you need for an outstanding day on the river. All equipment, food, guides, transportation and supplies necessary are included from the moment we pick you up until the end of your adventure. To provide all of this, though, takes planning and the expenditure of resources. In addition, we have a finite number of seats on a finite number of boats available of a finite set of dates. Your deposit ensures that we are planning your trip, getting ready for your trip, and that we won't sell your space on a trip to anyone else. Your deposit covers our time, expense and lost sales opportunities for reserving your trip. Thus, your deposit is nonrefundable.

When we receive your deposit, we will send you specific information on pick-up time, recommended clothing and other important information.

To avoid paying the entire balance for day trips you have up till 48 hours before your trip to contact Rogue Rafting Company and make changes to your reservation, written cancellation must be received from participants no later than 30 days before your trip for multi-day adventures. The deposit is non-refundable, but may be applied to balance of the trip for participants or another trip in the current season should you find it necessary to postpone your trip. If you do not cancel 48 hours for day trips or 30 days before your departure for a multi-day trip; all funds due will be forfeited.

This is especially true of trips involving overnight stays at lodges. The lodges are independently owned and very popular. They all have a "no -refund" policy for cancellations of less than 30 days and will require RRC to pay for your room whether you use it or not. As a consequence, we also cannot refund your money.

We rarely cancel a trip. However, we cannot control the weather, unusual water levels, dam controlled water releases or an insufficient number of paddlers to proceed safely. We reserve the right to cancel any trip due to safety or other concerns. We also reserve the right to move your trip to another river trip of comparable duration and fun should conditions warrant.

Should you wish to change the date of your trip with us, we will do everything possible to accomodate your request but cannot guarantee we will be able to do so. A $25 per person rebooking charge shall apply for all date changes.

If we outright cancel your trip, you will receive all monies paid to Rogue Rafting Company. This refund does not cover any other expenses incurred by the trip participants. If we move, or offer to move your trip to another river for a trip of comparable duration, there will be no adjustment of fees paid.

You will be asked to sign a liability release before starting your trip. Refusal to sign will prevent you from going rafting, and no monies will be refunded.

Receipt of deposit and/or final payment is acknowledgement that registrant has read and accepts our cancellation/refund policies.
